Anyone who would like to join the teams please see Paul or turn up for training Saturdays 9.30 – 10.30 at Exmouth Rugby Club.

Charity Day – Monday 27th August – The Rotary Clubs of Exmouth have organised a Charity Day in the Pavilion Gardens from 9am – 4.30pm. We have a stall there selling books, puzzles, guess the number of sweets in the jar, tubes of pic and mix as well as our very own Queen of Raffle Ticket Sales Linda selling tickets for our 30th birthday grand prize draw. Please try and pop along and support not only us but the other local charities.

30th Birthday Celebrations – Next year sees Gateway turn 30 and we would love some more ideas of how we can spend the year celebrating. So far you have suggested a holiday abroad to a different location to Majorca so Paul is already looking into this and will send out details in the autumn. Raffle tickets are now on sale for our Grand Prize Draw but we need more ideas from you on how you would like to celebrate your Clubs 30th birthday. We will also be looking for sponsorship / donations / draw prizes if anyone is able to or knows anyone who can help with these. Any ideas or suggestions you have please see Steve or Leonie.

Nativity Play / Carol Concert – After the success of our first ever nativity play last year we have been asked to do the same again this year. The date for this will be Monday 17th December at Holy Trinity Church. Early in November we will be digging out the costumes and casting the play for those who want to take part. So please book the date in your diaries.

On the subject of Christmas our Christmas meal / party will be on Friday 14th December. We are yet to finalise the details etc but again book the date in your diaries and if any of you have any suggestions about what you would like to do then please let us know.

Halloween Disco – Monday 29th October – The time of year is upon us again soon where we can dig out our broom sticks, paint our faces green and cover ourselves in fake blood to dance the night away. Prizes for the best costumes and dancing J

It has been brought to my attention over the last few weeks that there has been an increase in the use of bad language and inappropriate behaviour during Club. Whilst we want you to have as much fun as possible we would be grateful if you could tone down the bad language etc as its not a requirement of having fun and isn’t pleasant for the other members, volunteers or support staff to hear / witness. Thank you J

Lastly a couple of reminders, Club times are 6.30pm until 9pm, activities should be packed away where possible before you leave and if you have are unwell please do not attend Club and share your germs. Thank you J
