Exmouth Gateway Club

A little history about us…

We are a social group for adults with learning disabilities in Exmouth and the surrounding area. Founded in 1989 we currently have over 120 members who have a wide range of disabilities. The aim of the group is to help our members develop their social and independence skills whilst giving them the opportunity to socialise with their peers in familiar surroundings whilst feeling safe and relaxed.

The Club is run by volunteers and relies purely on donations and fund raising to operate. The group meets every Monday (including most Bank Holidays) at Exmouth Rugby Club – Doors open at 6:30pm with activities from 7pm to 9pm. We put on a variety of different activities that include craft nights, discos, bingo, skittles, karaoke, quizzes, as well as day trips and holidays. Whilst at club the members have access to a licensed bar for refreshments as well as tea and coffee as well as our members running their own tuck shop.
